I have never read a dance book before but I would love to! I love the US cover and I am so pleased the book is being published in the UK in 2012!

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight is definitely mt kind of book. The title: LOVE! The blurb: AWESOME! I couldn't wait to get my hands on a copy  of this book. When it arrived I squealed like a child and the book definitely didn't disappoint. It was a sweet love story that addresses deeper issues along the way.

Oliver was so swoon-worthy. He was sweet, charming and just adorable. The chemistry and sexual tension between Oliver and Hadley were beautifully written. I was rooting for them from the very beginning. Both Hadley and Oliver were easy to connect with and I believer a lot of people will be able to relate to what either of them were going through.


The book is set over 24 hours and there was a definite urgency to the plot. the pace was fast and kept me reading on. The time period was a really nice touch.


I adored the ending. It was so fitting and captured the essence of the novel. It had a balance of predictability and surprise which was refreshing.


If you love contemporary romances as much as I do then I am sure you will love this! A lovely, beautifully written book filled with chance, fate and love.

Meg Cabot is definitely a go to author for me. Whenever I want something light hearted and fun I pick up one of her books. Airhead is a little different from her other books but it was enjoyable none the less. I don't want to spoil the book so I'm not going to summarise as there a lot of things to discover. That being said it is freakishly bizarre.


To enjoy Airhead you've got to let go of reality a little as the plot, at times, isn't the most believable. it did take me a while to get accepted this but once I did, I enjoyed the book a lot more.


My favourite character was Chris, Em's best friend. He was the most real character in the book and the person I felt most connected with. I did like Em but she did get a little annoying at times.


Airhead ended with most of the plot resolved, though there were some aspects left a mystery to intrigue you. I was definitely intrigued enough to pick up book two.


Airhead was by no means my favourite Meg Cabot book as I found the extreme circumstances difficult to connect with. Despite this, it was a quick, fun read that fans of Cabot will enjoy.

House of Silk by Anthony Horowitz

Over the years I have read some of Anthony Horrowitz work, the most famous being Stormbreaker. Horrowitz has a wonderful way with words and is able to create and capture intense suspense and action scenes within his novels. Whilst I am not a fan of Sherlock Holmes, knowing that the novel was written by Anthony Horowitz makes me eager to read it.

The reading in the video above really sets the tone for the novel. Horowitz's reading is captivating. The mystery is heightened by the noises in the background and the flickering of the firelight. I am definitely excited to read the book after seeing the video.

I enjoyed this book greatly. The plot of the story is quite clever and explores different aspects of love; love between mother and daughter being one of them. Alice’s love to her mother was showed through her protection from the media and the other people. With all the stress of being a teenager, it shows how great Alice’s love is as she puts her mother before other things such as school.

As well as having to keep her mother’s illness a secret she also had common teenage girl problems. Boys. I quite liked the character of Alice’s crush Tony but I believe she could have brought more of his character out.

Errol’s main story in this book was quite sad. His story made me sympathise for him as a character. The description of Errol’s character was unexpected. Having typically imagined cupid to be a little chubby baby, Errol is the exact opposite. He was mysterious which made me want to know more about his story.

Overall, Mad Love is an enjoyable book which explores many themes; one of them being mental illness. There are occasional moments where you can’t help but cringe, but it is a cute read!

I love the summary of this one. The idea of how one list can determine how your life will be that year. I'm really excited as to how the eight girls stories will collide. I can't wait.

1 Year Blogoversary and Giveaway

My blog has officially turned one today! Can you believe how fast the time flies? I have had SO much fun over the past year. I've read incredible books that I never would have read otherwise. I have met incredible people, been to amazing events. Met authors and worked with publishers. It has been an amazing roller coaster.

That is not to say it hasn't been hard. There have been many stressful moments where I considered giving up but it is so worth it. As a fun reminder of all my firsts this year I thought I'd do a little timeline.
