Especially when I carry them around in my bag. Hardcovers just look prettier too. They have so many little details between the dust jacket and the cover under the dust jacket. I love it!

Places like Amazon also have great deals on hardcovers in the bargain books section. Half the time I've bought hardcovers there that have been less expensive than even the paperback version!Small Reviewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16072352095510905410noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8918259665291282373.post-52011303171603780952011-02-28T07:51:48.531+00:002011-02-28T07:51:48.531+00:00Ashley: hahah! If I buy/win a hardcover book I'll just take off the dust jacket while reading and it isn't a big deal, but when I get a library book with a tapped on dust jacket I go insane before I finish the darn book :P I always try to find paperbacks, they are cosier, but I will settle for hardcover when necessary.Ashleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06933753762063858219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8918259665291282373.post-50325564271129843302011-02-24T23:02:21.260+00:002011-02-24T23:02:21.260+00:00BooksforCompany: If only money wasn't a concer...BooksforCompany: If only money wasn't a concern. I don't like the dust covers because they always fall off. The cover underneath never really seems very pretty. And, they are soooo heavy!!! Plus stiff and non-bendable.

I prefer paperback's for sure. But not just any paperback. The book has to be of a particular size. I hate the small ones with the glossy covers. I like the mid sized books with pretty, matte finish covers. The pliability of the cover has a nice feel. Paperbacks are generally pretty light weight, too. These are the reasons I prefer paperback over hardcover.Gina @ My Precioushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01895568426820464572noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8918259665291282373.post-26422120520400442052011-02-24T17:00:57.764+00:002011-02-24T17:00:57.764+00:00This comment has been removed by the author.Gina @ My Precioushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01895568426820464572noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8918259665291282373.post-83980435016031206812011-02-24T16:56:42.609+00:002011-02-24T16:56:42.609+00:00I'm a fan of paperbacks because they're ch...I'm a fan of paperbacks because they're cheaper. I prefer to read paperbacks because they feel better in my hands 3. my bookcloset has 80% paperbacks and I like the books that I have already, to match with my new books.

But, I have to say, for some books I'm more than willing to pay the hardcover price. Mostly if it's a new release that I'm DYING to read, or if it's a part of a series of which I'm sure I will want to read the second (or third..) book as soon as it comes out. OR if the cover is extremely pretty :D (so yes, I'm kind of a snob, too. Sue me!)
